We Run The World
Check out where our students have been to!
Students from our School of Humanities & Social Sciences had the opportunity to be a part of something inspiring for their Overseas Community Project (OCP). They painted walls and laid tiles for a classroom in a high school and donated clothes and food to impoverished villages. With their positive attitude and giving spirits, they generated big smiles everywhere!
For two weeks, our students had the opportunity to explore the sights and sounds of China, from the high hills and gushing rivers to the bustling city and lush gardens. During their China Studies attachment programme, they learned how the local communities thrive - all while soaking in the best of Chinese history and culture.
Konnichiwa! Our polytechnic foundation programme and Informatics & IT students recently visited the land of the rising sun for their cultural and study trips. Students soaked up the local culture through exchange programmes with local students and traditional activities such as soba making and Wadaiko (Japanese drums) lessons.
As the two top group project winners for a competition held by TP and electronics giant, Philips, these five students from the Diploma in Integrated Facility Management were awarded the opportunity to visit the Philips headquarters, in Amsterdam. There, they learned first-hand about the future of smart lighting technology from the experts in the field.
Boston and New York, USA
Students from the Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics participated in an overseas study trip to Boston and New York, USA! They had a chance to see and experience the cyber range facility at IBM Boston’s Innovation Centre and the IBM New York’s state-of-the-art Watson research lab which features artificial intelligence, big data and analytics and cloud technologies in the area of Cyber Threat Intelligence.
St. Kitts in the Carribean
Working in a research lab is serious stuff, but check out this amazing view when our students step outside! They did a 12-week internship in Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM), where the campus is right next to the Caribbean Sea. You bet they explored the pristine islands and beaches non-stop!
