Speaker: Mr Bong Chee Keong, Domain Chair

Chee Keong is currently the Domain Chair of the Water Technology Domain at the School of Applied Science, Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore. He spearheads cutting-edge research initiatives in water and environmental engineering, with over 23 years of industry experience in water treatment systems prior to joining the Polytechnic. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed numerous critical projects, demonstrating deep expertise in water quality analysis, equipment sizing, technical specification writing, and comprehensive project management. He has accumulated seven years of teaching experience in chemical engineering diploma programmes, where he lectures on subjects such as process control and instrumentation, engineering mathematics, and unit operations. In addition to his academic and research roles, Chee Keong supports student development as a liaison officer for industry internships. He collaborates with leading companies - including Procter & Gamble (P&G), Spectronik Pte Ltd, Analytical Laboratories (Singapore) Pte Ltd, and R.A.K. Materials Consultants Pte Ltd - to ensure valuable and practical learning experiences for students.

Speaker: Mr Zacchaeus Siew, Course Chair
Zacchaeus has hands-on experience in the chemical industry as a process engineer and currently teaches in the areas of utilities and environmental systems. Zacchaeus has successfully completed the Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) course. Leveraging his extensive experience in water treatment—particularly in managing wastewater discharge from electronic plants and producing high-purity water for electronic manufacturing—he has been actively collaborating with the Singapore Institute of Technology’s Energy Efficiency Technology Centre. Through this partnership, he supports SDETES participants in achieving ASCEM accreditation upon course completion.

Ms Tan Ee Ling,  Program Course Chair

 

Ee Ling graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2000 with a Masters in Social Science (Economics).

 

Ee Ling is the Course Chair for the Common Business Programme (PET) and Diploma in Business Practice (Sustainability Management) (CET). She has been teaching Economics and Business Management subjects to both PET and CET students in Temasek Polytechnic for the past 23 years. Her interests include curriculum development, content delivery and enhancing students’ learning. 

 

Prior to joining Temasek Poly, she has more than 5 years of work experience in various private sector organisations: working in areas of human resource management, and compensation and benefits.

 

 

Mr Eugene Cheah, Lecturer

 

Eugene graduated from the Australian National University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Master’s in International Law, as well as a Master’s in Sustainable Development from the University of Edinburgh in 2019.

 

Prior to joining Temasek Poly, Eugene was working in the civil service and various public sector agencies, and has close to eight years of experience in the field of International Relations. Of note, he had previously served as an Assistant Director in the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, working on transboundary haze pollution in the ASEAN region.

 

Apart from sustainability, the areas of international law and foreign affairs count among his key interests. Eugene is also a strong believer of lifelong learning, and is extremely passionate about sharing experiences to adult learners. As the saying goes, learning never stops!

Mr Tanmay Bishnoi, Director, KPMG Singapore

 

Tanmay is a Director at KPMG Singapore with deep expertise in sustainability and climate strategy. He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered ESG Investment Manager and a Chevening Fellow in Leadership and Excellence. His work focuses on decarbonization and net zero pathways, GHG emissions profiling, climate target setting, clean energy transition—including renewable energy and green hydrogen—corporate renewable energy procurement, and supply chain decarbonization. He has extensive experience in sustainability reporting, having supported numerous organizations in aligning with global frameworks such as the GRI, TCFD, and ISSB standards. Tanmay also advises clients on integrating ESG metrics into corporate disclosures and developing robust sustainability strategies. He has coauthored 11 practitioners guides in Renewable Energy domain, a research paper on Cobenefits of Renewable Energy, a thought leadership paper on net zero and an insights report on decarbonizing the transport sector.

 

Mr Wong Nee Tat, Course Chair, Temasek Polytechnic

 

Nee Tat is the Course Chair at Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Business. A Chartered Accountant of Singapore, he holds the FSA Credential from the IFRS Foundation, demonstrating his expertise in sustainability disclosure and ESG analysis. Prior to joining Temasek Polytechnic, he was a Director of Business Consulting and Senior Consultant, advising listed companies, multinational corporations, government organisations and trade associations. He contributes to Singapore’s national sustainability efforts through his attachment with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), aiding in the development of the Sustainability Reporting Body of Knowledge. He received multiple awards, including Teaching Excellence Awards, Exemplary SkillsFuture @ Public Service Award in 2023 and Outstanding CET Contributor Award in 2024.

 

Ms Carolyn Poon, Domain Chair, Temasek Polytechnic

 

Carolyn Poon is a practitioner in sustainability, strategy and business transformation. She is passionate about sustainability and the transformative value of innovation to help businesses and people become better versions of themselves.

 

Carolyn has worked with businesses across different geographies, to understand their pain points, propose and implement business solutions. She has held various senior management roles in sector-based sustainability, regional strategy, product management and consulting. In Sustainability, she has pioneered industry initiatives that drive towards sector/standards-based business practices, consumer education via responsible consumption, circularity initiatives, capacity building initiatives, and sustainability innovation.

 

Carolyn holds an MBA from Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. She is Domain Chair, Business Sustainability & Essentials, School of Business in Temasek Polytechnic.

 

Mr Darren Ko, Senior Lecturer, Temasek Polytechnic

 

Darren Ko is a Senior Lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Business. He has contributed to the validation of Singapore’s Sustainability Reporting and Sustainability Assurance Bodies of Knowledge, supporting national efforts to define core technical competencies in these domains. He led Temasek Polytechnic’s Sustainability Committee in the successful completion of its inaugural Sustainability Report for FY2023, and currently oversees the implementation of the institution’s sustainability reporting platform system, supporting the integration of sustainability data across departments.

 

Darren is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore. He also holds certifications in Sustainability Reporting and Assurance from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), and in Corporate Carbon Footprint Verification (ISO 14064) from TÜV SÜD. Prior to joining Temasek Polytechnic, Darren spent over nine years with Deloitte, specializing in public accounting and assurance for listed companies, multinational corporations, and not-for-profit organizations. He now develops and teaches subjects in sustainability reporting, accounting, financial auditing and advises students on industry projects involving carbon accounting and analytics.
