Overview

The Temasek LEADership Programme (Temasek LEAD) embodies this belief. As an inclusive talent development programme for promising students, Temasek LEAD participants can look forward to an amazing journey of self-discovery and enjoy exciting experiences that extend beyond the classroom and academic pursuits.

Aims of Temasek LEAD

Temasek LEAD aims to foster individual growth in the leadership domains of Personal & Team Leadership, Community Leadership, and Global Perspectives. This is achieved through a series of unique, interactive and exciting activities such as overseas engagement study trips, community service projects, local and overseas adventure expeditions, and leadership forums.

Temasek LEAD participants will be equipped with the leadership competencies needed to thrive in an increasingly complex and interconnected world, transforming the next generation of leaders with vision, character, and heart.

About Temasek LEADership Programme

Temasek LEAD aims to develop LEAD students into future leaders with vision, character and heart. Our unique approach is crafted to stretch the potential of our high-performing students. Students can expect to embark on an exciting journey of self-discovery and holistic development in the following three key leadership domains:

1. Personal & Team Leadership

Temasek LEAD develops students into effective, holistic leaders, beginning with a foundation of deep self-awareness. By understanding their unique leadership profiles, students learn to leverage their strengths while mastering essential competencies such as resilience, emotional intelligence, and situational adaptability.

Beyond individual growth, the programme cultivates team leadership through immersive, experiential platforms. Through challenging outdoor adventure programmes, students build critical communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills. These dynamic experiences ensure our students emerge with the strategies and confidence to guide diverse teams and navigate complex challenges.

2. Community Leadership

LEAD students are given platforms to be actively engaged in leading service learning initiatives, both locally and overseas. The programme aims to groom compassionate leaders with a heart for others, who think beyond themselves and their immediate teams, to be socially responsible citizens, and to serve and care for their community.

3. Global Perspectives

LEAD students have opportunities to engage with government agencies, non-governmental organisations, corporate organisations, and educational institutions locally and globally to build global awareness, cross-cultural understanding, and meaningful networks. Grounded in empathy and a sense of responsibility, they develop into global citizens equipped with critical thinking, change readiness, and an enterprising spirit – ready to lead with purpose and create positive impact.

How Are The Programmes Run?

LEAD students complete the Temasek LEAD by participating in three Core events, namely LEAD Challenge, LEAD Heart, and LEAD Summit. These specially curated events are designed to equip them with the essential skills and competencies across the three leadership domains.

Complementing the Core events, a rich selection of Elective programmes empowers LEAD students to take ownership of their leadership journey by exploring opportunities that resonate with their passions and personal goals.
