Microsoft 365 Student Use Benefits

Students enrolled in Temasek Polytechnic, can install Microsoft Office software for free on their personal computers through the Microsoft 365 Student Use Benefits programme.

 

The programme provides access to Office 365 ProPlus, a full version of Office, including:

 

  • Word 2016
  • Excel 2016
  • PowerPoint 2016
  • OneNote 2016
  • Access 2016
  • Skype for Business 2016
  • Publisher 2016
  • Outlook 2016
  • InfoPath 2013


Students can install the software on up to five computers, including Windows and Mac. Students can also access Office mobile applications on iPhones and Android phones.


The software has the same features and functions as other versions of Office and can be used offline; however, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the programme.

Students enrolled in Temasek Polytechnic are eligible for the Office 365 ProPlus license. Students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the programme. You may enquire which version of MS office should you download or install for compatibility.

  1. For existing MS office copies installed:

    If the version currently installed on your PC/notebook is 32 bit, you will need to download the 32bit version. The downloaded installer will prompt you on the version if you are not sure.

  2. For new MS office installation:

    You may choose to download either 32bit or 64 bit Office 365 ProPlus depending on your PC or notebook’s Windows Operating Systems (such as Windows 7-32bit or Windows 8-64 bit). The versions will have to match for the installation.

Downloading and Logging In

1.      Install the App

Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by scanning the QR codes below or search for "TP Oei" by Temasek Polytechnic.

Is it compulsory for me to download TP Oei?

It is compulsory for all full-time TP students to download TP Oei to access campus information, useful resources and important contacts. It would also be a key announcement and communication channel within the TP community.

Which password do I use to log into TP Oei?

Which password do I use to log into TP Oei?

For students, please use your Office 365 password (i.e. the same password for your email login) to log into TP Oei.

Can I change my profile photo in the app?

If your student matric card photo is displaying correctly within the app, you will not be able to change it as this could be used as your digital student card in the future. If you do not have a photo pre-uploaded within the app, you are encouraged to upload a front-facing profile photo of yourself.

If you wish to access the app contents on a web browser, please go to http://sg.campuskit.io and follow the steps below:

With BYOD, students will be able to access software used by TP anytime, anywhere, with a portable device such as the notebook. With this mobility of working and accessing information, TP is preparing students for the industry, as they will be immersed in a digital environment during their course of study with enhanced learning experience. The necessary supporting facilities such as wireless network connectivity and power sockets will be provided to maximise the capabilities of their devices.

  1. Click on the LOGIN button of the LMS landing page (https://lms.tp.edu.sg/)
  2. Enter your student email address: (e.g. 1234567A@student.tp.edu.sg)

Note:
If you encounter ‘Sign On Error’ message while trying to login to your LMS account, please clear your browser cache and restart the browser. You should also logout from your Office365 session (https://login.microsoftonline.com/) before accessing LMS.

Can I apply for NEU PC Plus even if I am eligible for Notebook Grant?

You are recommended to apply for Notebook Grant instead, as the notebook models offered in NEU PC Plus may not be able to fulfil the minimum device specifications for your course.

  • This is for needy students who are not able to afford the co-payment. You can only apply for the inspire fund if you are choosing Desktop 1 or Laptop 2. You will only be able to obtain your desktop/laptop after you have complete your community service hours within 6 months.
  • Successful applicants will receive a log book from IMDA. Applicants can only start the community service upon receiving the log book. Applicants are expected to source your own community service opportunities.
  • The number of hours to complete are detailed as follows:
