My Life. My Way. The Canine Hydrotherapist

Sharon Wong
Diploma in Veterinary Technology Graduate (2014)

Sharon graduated with Merit from the Diploma in Veterinary Technology in 2014, after which she joined the Canine Wellness and Rehabilitation Centre as a part timer. After seeing the benefits of hydrotherapy in improving the health, mobility and overall quality of life of many beloved dogs, she was inspired to do more for them.

Her desire for upskilling led her to further her education and she has attained the U.K Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals. After that, she continued to pursue the advanced Level 3 Diploma in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals from the UK which she is about to complete, while working as a full time Hydrotherapist.

Sharon has always been very passionate about dogs, and while at TP, she spent her free time volunteering at animal shelters. She currently has 5 precious dogs, including a three-legged dog and a recently-adopted rescue dog. Her time in TP helped her to gain a good foundation in animal science and animal care. She is thankful for the exposure to the animal care industry through practical attachments and volunteer events whilst at TP. This not only led her to eventually discover her greatest passion in the field of canine rehabilitation but also gave her a better understanding of this multi-faceted industry.
