Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) & AIC Mud Crab Expert Workshop from 27 to 30 Nov '23

This joint FAO-AIC mud crab workshop brings together experts in their fields from the region to share their research, industry practices and innovations, as well as mud crab farming challenges and needs from different countries. Through this 4-day workshop, possible strategic directions, practices, and recommendations discussed would help those interested in building and supporting a sustainable mud crab aquaculture sector.

Day 2 of the workshop proceedings include presentations on mud crab hatchery, larviculture  & nursery production.

The day started with a field trip to AIC R&D Farm in Sungei Buloh and also visit of Oceania LLP. The participants enjoyed the outdoor activity.

Upon returning to TP, the participants had a facility tour of AIC followed by lunch and another afternoon of discussions and workgroup sharing.

 

That evening the group headed to Carousel at Royal Park @Scotts for another official dinner.

On the last day of the workshop, besides more discussions and focused workgroup sharing, the participants were issued with certificates at the end of the day.
