Course Overview

This course will inspire participants to start making proactive and empowered decisions about their ageing journey.

 

Participants will gain an understanding on the age-related changes and potential across the physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional dimensions, and to apply the concepts into practice.

Who Should Attend

Participants who are interested to increase their knowledge about ageing and aspire to age positively. Ageing is a lifelong process, which makes this course relevant and beneficial to everyone.

What You'll Learn

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

 

  1. Understand the key theoretical concepts related to adult development and ageing
  2. Examine the changes in physical, cognitive and psychosocial development as people age
  3. Appreciate the potential and opportunities for growth in the ageing pathway
  4. Apply the theoretical knowledge in one’s personal context towards ageing well

 

 

Mode of Assessment

 

Quizzes – measure participants’ understanding of key concepts and application of concepts learnt for each topic

Participants will receive an electronic Certificate of Completion issued by Temasek Polytechnic upon completion of each MLC.
