Course Overview
This online course aims to provide learners with a good understanding to
- Evaluate the potential of Logistics 4.0 in increasing service levels, customer satisfaction, and reducing overall costs and natural resource consumption.
- Understand how IoT enables better control over smart production systems by transmitting and analysing big data, leading to increased productivity, efficiency in resource usage, and reduced cycle time.
- Analyse the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) on supply chain operations, including logistics and transportation optimisation, last-mile delivery, and enhanced value-added services, and how AR can improve the quality of output and help employees work smarter, faster, and safer.
- Evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Threats, Opportunities (SWOT) analysis of blockchain technology in the supply chain
- Examine the impact of AI on different fields and how AI technologies have achieved results that surpass human capabilities in certain tasks
- Understand the role of technology in mitigating and introducing supply chain threats
- Evaluate strategies for supply chain resilience
- Evaluate how digitalisation influences individuals, families, and broader society, emphasizing the role of AI, cloud, IoT and 5G
- Understand how digitalisation aids realising the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs)
- Understand the role and importance of warehousing in logistics and supply chain management, including its significant contribution to overall logistics costs and the rise of the e-commerce
- Evaluate the impact of integrating smart applications and devices in the supply chain, emphasizing cost reduction, real-time business processes, and collaboration
- Understand the essence of social sustainability in supply chains, recognising the role of senior management, and the significance of health, safety, training practices, and risk management
This online course is to be completed within 1 month from the date of successful course activation.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have at least GCE ‘A’ level certificate and two years of working experience in the logistics and supply chain industry.
Those who do not meet the minimum educational requirements but have relevant working experience may be considered for entry to the Professional Certificate programme on a case-by-case basis. Similarly those who have higher educational qualifications but do not have relevant working experience in the sector may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Assessment
The online quiz consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Unlimited attempts for the online quiz are allowed for participants to reinforce their understanding and achieve the desired learning outcomes.
On completing the online course and quiz, candidates can request for an online examination conducted by CILTS, via email at secretariat@cilt.org.sg.
The online examination consists of 20 MCQs to be completed in an hour. Result will be known immediately. For a repeat attempt - the cost is SGD50.00 per attempt, with no restriction on the number of repeat attempts.
