Course Overview

The certificate course in Qualified Persons in Aquaculture Farm Biosecurity and Farm Monitoring covers topics that would help aquaculture farms prepare their personnel as Qualified Persons (QP) in farm biosecurity management and farm environment monitoring. The 4-day course will include lectures on key good aquaculture practices from SS 670:2021; group discussion on-farm biosecurity and environmental monitoring plans; hands-on training in essential fish healthcare; farm visits and assessment. Upon completion of the course, the QP would be equipped with knowledge and skill sets in the areas of disease prevention and control, fish healthcare, farming practices and farm environment monitoring.

Entry Requirements

Applicants with work experience: SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Skills (WPLN) Level 5/Secondary school level

Applicants without work experience: Polytechnic diploma in the related course (e.g. aquaculture, biology, veterinary science etc.)
