TP‑ECOllab 2025 marked Temasek Polytechnic’s continued commitment to advancing sustainability through strong partnerships with industry, government, and the community. Held on 6 November 2025, the one‑day conference brought together more than 500 participants from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), educational institutions, professional bodies, and sustainability practitioners, reaffirming TP’s role as a convenor and catalyst in Singapore’s green transition.

Jointly organised by Temasek Polytechnic and Brands for Good, TP‑ECOllab 2025 was anchored on the theme “Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow: Building Smart, Reporting Right.” The event focused on translating sustainability ambitions into practical action, particularly in the areas of green building innovation and sustainability reporting—two critical enablers of Singapore’s national sustainability goals.

The morning plenary featured three keynote addresses by leading sustainability advocates from PwC, Mapletree Investments, and the Singapore Green Building Council. Speakers shared insights on the evolving global sustainability reporting landscape, corporate transition planning, and national green building strategies, underscoring the growing convergence of sustainability standards and the need for organisations to integrate sustainability into core business strategy. A panel discussion on sustainability challenges and growth opportunities for SMEs further highlighted practical approaches for organisations at different stages of their sustainability journey.

In the afternoon, participants engaged in two concurrent breakout tracks: the Sustainability Reporting Track and the Green Building Technology & Practice Track. Sessions were designed to move beyond theory, offering applied knowledge on topics such as sustainability reporting compliance, carbon accounting, sustainable financing, digital twins, artificial intelligence, and smart building technologies. An interactive workshop on building sustainability reports and a guided tour of green features across the TP campus provided participants with hands-on learning experiences and real-world demonstrations.

Complementing the conference was an exhibition showcasing 11 booths, featuring sustainability related projects and technologies from TP’s schools and centres of excellence, as well as industry partners. The exhibition highlighted TP’s applied research capabilities, continuing education and training offerings, and potential avenues for collaboration in workforce upskilling and Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) projects.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2023, TP-‑ECOllab 2025 strengthened TP’s position as a forward-‑looking advocate for sustainability and climate action. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, the event not only equipped organisations with actionable knowledge but also fostered meaningful partnerships to support Singapore’s journey towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

TP's Green Interest Group (GIG) embarked on an unforgettable journey to Bali, experiencing the island's vibrant green initiatives. These 40 students and 3 staff members witnessed Bali's commitment to preserving its natural wonders for future generations.

One highlight was the Green School Bali and the Green Village, a sustainable community with a green international school and awe-inspiring bamboo houses. Students were amazed by the school's environmentally conscious practices and were inspired to build bamboo homes themselves. Exploring Bali's natural wonders, the group visited a paddy field, learning about local agriculture and participating in planting, fishing, and cooking their own dinner. The visit to Monkey Forest instilled a deep appreciation for nature and its inhabitants, while the turtle conservation sanctuary highlighted the importance of protecting these vulnerable creatures.

Other destinations included a waste management centre that showcased responsible waste practices. Bali proved to be a rewarding and transformative experience for everyone involved.
