Yes, it is mandatory for all full-time Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) and international students to complete the Tuition Grant Option Form as required by the Ministry of Education (MOE), by 16 October 2026.
If you choose to apply for the Tuition Grant (TG):
- You are required to submit an online application through the MOE website.
- You must execute the TG Agreement with MOE by the stipulated deadline before the TG can be granted. Under the TG Agreement, you will be required to work for a Singapore entity for three years upon graduation.
- SPRs and international students who are awarded the TG but subsequently withdraw from their course without graduating will be liable for Liquidated Damages for the TG received. Students are advised to carefully consider the implications, particularly the financial consequences, before deciding to withdraw from their course.
