More than a thousand secondary school students thronged the School of Engineering during its annual open house, to find out about the programmes, check out the facilities and equipment, as well as to get a feel of the campus, known for its scenic environment that is conducive to both work and play.
Besides diploma booths where visitors could find out more about prospective Engineering courses at Temasek Polytechnic (TP), this year’s Open House also featured dozens of interactive exhibits related to the field of Engineering – such as a humanoid robot, fuel cell and solar powered cars, smart devices for the home (and pocket!) and 3D printing. Participants also checked out the School’s aircraft training hanger, the TP-Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT) aerospace training centre and the wind-tunnel used in aerospace training, and were dazzled by an immersive 3D Virtual Reality (VR) experience.
