Food ventures abroad taste success

Different reasons took them overseas, but these Singaporeans have one thing in common: They set up thriving small businesses, despite having zero experience in the food and beverage industry. Mr Hakim explains his desire to showcase Australian produce and support local small-batch cheesemakers. When he first moved to Melbourne, he was so impressed that Australia is able to produce so much of its own food and the quality is world-class. He had obtained a diploma in marketing from Temasek Polytechnic in 2009, but longed to further his studies overseas.
