Post Date: 19 May 2024
Soe Pyae Kyaw, aged 39, transitioned into fish farming after working as a seafood deliveryman in Singapore. In 2019, he unexpectedly became the manager of a coastal fish farm in Changi. Initially unfamiliar with fish farming, Soe turned to the internet and colleagues for guidance. Encouraged by his boss, Malcolm Ong, founder of The Fish Farmer, Soe enrolled in a part-time aquaculture course at Temasek Polytechnic. Despite initial apprehension and a demanding schedule, juggling work and studies, Soe graduated with a diploma in applied science (aquaculture).
