What are MLCs?

MLCs are short, bite-sized and activity-based courses delivered via a mobile app. Each MLC consists of 10 to 20 lessons with each lesson having a duration of about 15 mins.

How will I benefit from micro-learning?

Since the MLCs are delivered via a mobile app, you can learn anytime, anywhere and with anyone within the same course. Each of the lessons are also short and presented in multiple modes of learning (quiz, reflection, activity-based tasks, discussion, etc.), thereby making them more easily digestible and engaging.

How are Temasek Polytechnic’s MLCs different from other online courses offered by other training providers?

Most online courses are designed for desktop video-based learning. Our MLCs are designed primarily for mobile learning. The lessons are short, 15 minutes on average, and are learnt by completing little learning action boxes. It also works offline by downloading the lessons to your smartphone. Our instructors can also update new lessons when needed to provide just-in-time learning scenarios for learners to apply their knowledge to real-world situations.

Can I preview the MLC before I enrol in it?

There are no previews available. However, you can learn more about the MLCs at our website.

I have enrolled in a MLC. Do I need to complete it within a stipulated timeframe?

There is no stipulated timeframe or expiry date for the MLCs, so learners can complete the MLCs at their own pace. However, you may sometimes receive gentle reminder notifications or emails from the app to encourage you to complete your MLC.

Will there be new MLCs in future?

Yes, new MLCs will be developed to meet the learning and training needs of the various industries.

What do I get upon completing a MLC?

You will receive an electronic Certificate of Completion issued by Temasek Polytechnic, which you may post to your LinkedIn profile.

How much does a MLC cost?

What are the accepted modes of payment available?

You can make payment via credit card at our partner's (Gnowbe) payment gateway when you click 'Buy Now' in our website. Upon successful payment and registration, you will receive a receipt via email and you may start your course immediately.

Is there subsidy for the MLCs?

There is no subsidy available for the MLCs.

Can I use my SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fees?

Yes, you can use your SkillsFuture Credit to pay for the course fees.

Can I get a refund if I do not like the MLC I purchased?

No. As individuals will be given immediate full access to the MLCs upon successful payment, there will not be any refund for the MLCs purchased.
