Module Overview

This module introduces the students to the fundamentals of electronics, physics, math and coding through a fun and interactive way, from understanding the concepts to the actual implementation in real life situations. Students will have hands-on experiences with STEM/STEAM learning, basic coding, engineering physics, applied mathematics and Arduino.

This module will be conducted within a duration of 22.5 hours.

What You'll Learn

At the end of the module, students will be able to:

  1. Understand and implement simple coding in simple electronic projects
  2. Identify the different forces happening in the world around us and how do they make an object move or stay at rest by performing Engineering Physics experiment
  3. Able to describe robotics movement in a plane using matrices and vectors
  4. Implement basic Arduino Coding to build simple projects

Assessment Components

Students will be assessed based on the following:

  1. Class Participation
  2. Project 1 (Day 1: LittleBit STEM Learning & Basic C coding)
  3. Project 2 (Day 3: Arduino Inventor workshop)
  4. Assignment 1 (Day 2: Engineering Physics Experiment)
  5. Assignment 2 (Day 2: Applied Math)

Completion criteria

Students are required to:

  • Fulfill at least 67% of the attendance and
  • Obtain a pass mark of at least 50% upon completion of the module.
