Course Overview

This subject focuses on the operational and logistical aspects of organising trade shows and exhibitions. It provides students with an overview of the exhibition industry, and empowers students with practical skills like in-hall operations, selecting the right suppliers, managing manpower and providing logistical support to stakeholders of the exhibitions. This subject also covers security aspects of exhibitions and organisation of successful exhibition overseas.

 

 

Objectives

 

The subject aims to equip the students with the skills and knowledge to:

  • Apply event operational framework; and
  • Deliver appropriate logistical support for trade shows and exhibitions

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Certification

 

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be awarded a Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Specialist Diploma in MICE & Events Management.
