Course Overview

Ever wonder why some reports are so easy to read and understand and why some emails can get the message across so effectively? How can we communicate insights about a business’s performance and key performance indicators effectively using analytics dashboards and infographics? The answer lies in good visual design!

This course will provide participants with the 6 visual design principles to create compelling analytics dashboards and infographics, develop attractive websites and create effective presentations, marketing collaterals and posters, and to write good reports.

Phyllis Chong

Phyllis Chong has extensive experience teaching Business Analytics and the use of Gestalt Principles of Visual Perception for designing information dashboards for data visualisation.

Using these design principles, she has created a number of information dashboards that successfully convey insights from data. Her knowledge of these principles has also helped her communicate effectively in a variety of media such as emails, reports and presentation slides. She also applies these principles in her watercolour paintings which she pursues as a hobby.

Phyllis hopes to share her knowledge of these design principles through this course so that more people can benefit from it.
