Course Overview

Drawing is fundamental in many design disciplines, whether you are training to be a graphic designer, web designer, animator or 3-D artists, it is necessary to understand the human features.

This course will help you learn about facial construction and understand the features, anatomy and proportion that is required for portrait drawings. You will develop skills in expressing values, shadows and shading. You will also be introduced to a step-by-step approach in developing the necessary skills to creating a portrait.

Individuals and Design students who are interested to learn how to draw portraits.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

Identify the elements of facial construction
Describe the tonal quality through lines, washes and colours
Explore creative ideas about portraits
Create a piece of portrait through the techniques learned

She has been an educator since 2003, but her early career as Designer and Art Director in the Design & Advertising for over a decade has a distinctive influence in her life. When she is not busy with work, she loves to draw and dabble with art materials.
