As the officially recognized training provider by the Animal & Veterinary Service (under the National Parks Board), this course equips individuals working in or aspiring to join the pet care industry with essential knowledge and practical skills to provide safe, ethical, and compassionate care for animals. Participants will gain insights into animal welfare standards, health and safety protocols, and the operational requirements of pet care facilities. The course also covers responsible breeding practices, emergency response procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance and professionalism in all aspects of animal management.

What You'll Learn

To equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality, compassionate care to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of animals in pet care facilities, while upholding standards of animal welfare and regulatory compliance.

To enable participants to adopt best practices in breeding, emergency response, and regulatory compliance, ensuring professional and responsible standards that meet the needs of both animals and clients.

Due to content alignment, this course also includes the knowledge and skills covered in the Pet Care and Management (Companion Animals) course.

Assessment

The written examination consists of 15 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 2 short answer questions. A minimum passing score of 80% is required.

Certification

Participants who complete the 22-hour self-directed e-learning, attend the practical session at TP, and successfully pass the written examination will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
