UWA Global Excellence Scholarship
Haanee Bte Hamkah, a graduate from the Diploma in Biomedical Science received this scholarship to pursue the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (major in Anatomy and Human Biology) at the University of Western Australia as she hopes to read medicine in the future. Apart from being academically focused (cGPA 3.81), Haanee was a key member in both Singapore’s Under-20 Women’s Athletics, and the National Senior Women’s Relay teams. She won many Track & Field Gold Medals for TP, and was awarded ‘Sportsperson Excellence Award’ at Temasek Student Excellence Awards 2020.
Lee Hsien Loong Award for Outstanding All-round Achievement Award (LHL-OAA)(Polytechnic Category)
Viyshnatulasiy D/O Manivannen, a graduate from the Diploma in Biotechnology, was the sole recipient in 2021. This is a prestigious national award established to support students who did well both academically and non-academically with impactful contributions to the community, and had demonstrated the spirit of innovation and enterprise. She had maintained excellent academic results of cGPA 4.0, was the President of TP Student Union, and being the top student in Science and Technology, this had led her to achieving the Lee Kuan Yew Award at 2021 Graduation Ceremony. She was also offered the NUS Global Merit Scholarship to pursue a Bachelor degree at NUS College of Humanities and Sciences.
