Green Mark Associate Certified!

The Diploma in Integrated Facility Management (IFM) was conferred the Green Mark Associate Course Recognition award by the Singapore Green Building Council in 2024 – the first Institute of Higher Learning in Singapore to achieve this certification.

This prestigious award recognises the IFM course’s alignment with the Green Mark Associate certification standards – testifying to the course’s ability to prepare its students for a fruitful career in the sustainability-focused built environment sector.

iBuild-SG Pinnacle Competition

IFM student, Ernest Ngau, emerged 2^nd in the Pinnacle Competition (IHL category) – a virtual escape room challenge in which contestants solve puzzles related to the built environment, such as universal design and sustainable urban systems within 60 minutes, in order to prevent a cyber attack.

The competition was organised by Terra, a social enterprise focusing on sustainability in the environment, and supported by BCA.

International Building Design Competition

IFM student, Chanah Sim, together with her team, showed their architectural designing skills by achieving an Honourable Mention in the International Building Design Competition 2024.

This international competition, open to students from Institutes of Higher Learning around the region, challenged participants to design a campus of the future infusing sustainability and inclusivity, using architectural design software, such as Building Information Modelling.

Outstanding FM Training Provider

TP’s Diploma in Integrated Facility Management has won the Outstanding FM Training Provider Award (IHL), conferred by the Singapore International Facility Management Association (SIFMA). 

The award recognises an Institute of Higher Learning for excellence in its facility management training programme, taking into account the curriculum and its industry relevance, teaching methodology, assessment model, as well as the success of its alumni.

Rubix’s Cube Champion

Tristan Chua Yong (IFM, 2024) emerged champion in the Megaminx category of the biannual World Cube Association Rubix’s Cube Championship – the first and only Singaporean to do so – by solving the 12-sides Rubik’s cube puzzle (known as a dodecahedron) in the fastest average time of 29.25 seconds. 

He beat 313 other competitors worldwide and set a new world record, eclipsing the previous world record holder, Leandro Martin Lopez from Argentina.  The competition was held in Incheon, Korea on 13 Aug 2023.
