Applications for the Temasek Foundation Study Awards for the Diploma in Psychology Studies (PSY) and Diploma in Social Sciences in Gerontology (GEM) students are now open.
In a dedicated effort to fortify Singapore's social service sector, Temasek Foundation is generously sponsoring ten study awards for each of our diploma programmes. These awards, subject to renewal, extend over three academic years, providing invaluable support valued at $5,400 per academic year to financially disadvantaged students pursuing their studies.
The eligibility criteria for the award are as follows:
· PCI ≤ $690 or GHI ≤ $2,750;
· Passion to contribute to the community;
· Good attendance, conduct, and attitude; no disciplinary record;
· Not holding other scholarships, bursaries (except for government bursary), Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy (TTFS) from Yayasan MENDAKI, or is financially sponsored by employers, in the same academic year
Note: Renewal of the Temasek Foundation Study Award per academic year is also subject to consistent academic performance.

The applications will close on 22 October 2023, at 23:59. Successful recipients will be selected from the pool of applicants thereafter.
In September 2022, 4 PSY students participated in the SUSS Analytics and Visualisation Challenge 2022. Amidst strong competition from 40 teams, the PSY team comprising Woo Zi Yue, Yeo Zhi Jie, Hee Ning Shyan, and Quek Woon Swee made it into the finals and emerged 4th overall (Merit Award).
On 11 Dec 2021, three groups of PSY students swept the top 3 awards in the Diploma category of the Singapore Psychological Society’s Student Research Awards (SRA) 2021. With these awards, PSY students had consecutively clinched top awards in the SRA for the last 6 years.
On 31 October 2020, three groups of PSY students swept the top 3 awards in the Diploma category of the Singapore Psychological Society’s Student Research Awards (SRA) 2020. With these awards, PSY students had consecutively clinched top awards in the SRA for the last 5 years.
In July 2019, PSY graduate, Soh Kay Boon received the prestigious Public Service Commission Scholarship.
In May 2019, Constance Lien (ECS graduate), was crowned Sportsgirl of the Year for her achievement in Jiu-jitsu. She won the gold medal in the blue belt featherweight category in the World International Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Championships in California, USA.
Diploma in Social Sciences in Gerontology (GEM) student, Syireen Bamadhaj, received the Scholastic Achievement Award from the Arab Network @ Singapore (AN@S) in April 2019. The recognition was due to her good academic results in secondary school. AN@S recognises any Arab individual for their good achievements. Syireen was very grateful for the recognition and it was an especially memorable moment for her to be handed the award by President Halimah Yacob.
