Course Overview

The subject aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement aviation security preventive measures in accordance with appropriate airline operators security programmes, and prescribed international aviation security standards and recommended practices.

Objectives

The subject covers the nature of the threats and risks to civil aviation, security measures within the civil aviation Industry, the relationship between the Airline and other key players, legal and technical programmes to protect civil aviation, the basic measures applied to ensure protection of civil aviation and responding to security incidents or major security emergencies.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
