Course Overview

Turn overwhelming and complicated data into compelling narratives by applying storytelling principles to your analytics work. This subject covers the fundamental concepts in understanding an audience and communicating findings to them in a meaningful way. This includes how to identify suitable storylines, leverage analogies and examples, and deploy productive storyboards with memorable visual representations.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

What You'll Learn

Through this module, you will learn how to apply storytelling framework and use analogies and examples to support a narrative. Essential design principles such as how to select suitable visual representations for different data, and create a business dashboard for communicating insights will also be covered. The ethics of storytelling with data will be discussed too.

Certification

 

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be issued the Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Specialist Diploma in Data Science for Business.
