Course Overview

This subject covers specific legal issues which face practitioners in the security industry, particularly as security service providers. Topics include licensing requirements of private investigation and security agencies, security tenders, security contracts and the protection of various kinds of property such as condominiums, commercial properties and campuses.

 

 

Objectives

 

This subject aims to equip students with a firm foundation in the analyses of the legal requirements and documents governing the provision of security services.  Students will be able to safeguard the interests of their organisations when scrutinising such documents and ensure conformity with the general law and contractual obligations when drawing up operational procedures.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
