Course Overview

Operations management concerns the design and operations of systems to provide goods and services. The topics such as aggregate planning, production strategies, service design, operations scheduling, project management, facilities layout and quality improvement tools will be covered.

 

 

Objectives

 

The subject aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to:

  • Plan, schedule and control the activities that transform inputs into outputs.
  • Apply operations management concepts used in both service and manufacturing industries.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be awarded a Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Diploma in Business Practice (Logistics Management)
