Course Overview

The course will equip participants with behavioural insights to modify behaviour so as to achieve better outcomes for themselves or others in the areas of investments, health or spending. This includes having an understanding of the decision making process and the cognitive biases it is prone to which lead to irrational decisions.

The course also looks at key elements from three main toolkits used in Behavioural Insights along with real examples of how they have been used to nudge to achieve desired outcomes.

Participants who are interested in modifying behaviour of themselves or others in order to achieve a desired behaviour in the context of a business.

Mr Vincent Low
Course Coordinator, School of Business

Vincent brings extensive experience across diverse sectors and a strong academic foundation in business and analytics. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (International Business Economics & Marketing) from the University of Western Australia and a Specialist Diploma in Business Analytics from Temasek Polytechnic.
His career includes roles such as Visual Merchandiser at FJ Benjamin, Product Manager at Singapore Telecommunications and Accounts Director at a graphic design agency. He also co-founded Delicatematters.com, a florist business, and taught part-time at Temasek Polytechnic’s Schools of Business and School of Design before joining Temasek Polytechnic full-time in 2012.

At Temasek Polytechnic, Vincent has served as Manager for the Diploma in Retail Management, Diploma in Marketing, and the Smart E-commerce Centre (SMEC – 1st Avenue), where he led initiatives like the launch of an online and unmanned retail space, while also mentoring students and developing curriculum.
Since 2023, he has taken on the role of Manager and Course Coordinator for the Common Business Programme, supporting programme operations, leading initiatives, and enhancing the student experience.

A committed lifelong learner, Vincent actively upskills in business development, data analytics, managerial judgment, and workplace mental health. With his wide-ranging expertise and passion for innovation and education, he continues to make a meaningful contribution to the institution.
