What You'll Learn

This MLC will take the Edutainment format with some videos and eternal articles. One part of the course will introduce you to the risk management framework, concepts and lingo. Another part of the course will require you to look through risk failure case studies and apply your insights on how the risk events materialize and can be managed.

Quizzes and activities – measure participants’ understanding of key concepts and application of concepts learnt for each topic.

Daniel Ng

Daniel Ng, Course Chair of the Accounting & Finance Diploma, holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Merit) from Nanyang Technological University. He joined the banking and finance industry upon graduation. An interest in asset management led him to further his career as an Analyst as well as Portfolio Manager for an international insurance company, where he helped to manage a SGD 500 million investment fund.

At Temasek Polytechnic, Daniel’s working experience has led him to teach mainly finance-related subjects like risk management, business finance, international finance, financial analysis, fundamentals of investment as well as security analysis & portfolio management. However, he has also lectured in accounting-related subjects like company & partnership accounts and business accounting.

Daniel is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and also a member of Singapore Society of Financial Analysts.
