Course Overview

The course covers the many aspects of working with aircraft electrical wiring, its associated parts, connections and tooling of the wiring system including its modification, inspection and repair. Hence, this course addresses the learning needs of technicians and engineers of Target Group 1 (partial), Target Group 2 to Group 4.  This is in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Advisory Circular 120-94 (FAA A.C. 120-94) and European Aviation Safety Agency Acceptable Means of Compliance 20-22 (EASA AMC 20-22).

Who Should Attend

  • Technicians and engineers of Target Group 2 to Group 4 (FAA A.C. 120-94 and EASA AMC 20-22) 
  • Certifying and non-certifying staff of a Part-145 maintenance organisation who are seeking a recurrent training course in aviation maintenance
  • Anyone who are generally interested in aviation or wish to embark in a career in aircraft maintenance 

What You'll Learn

At the end of the course, you will:

 

  • learn how the concept of EWIS originated, the importance of workplace safety, aviation's dirty dozen, inspection, wire installation and the testing of wires and grounds.
  • learn the aspects of working with wiring, its associated parts, connecting devices and tooling to accomplish good electrical connections during modification, inspection and repair.
