At the end of the session, you will be able to
- Recognize the role of technology in enhancing early childhood learning experiences, with reference to current trends, best practices, and the evolving digital landscape in early childhood education.
- Identify principles and considerations for using technology with young children, aligned with national early childhood frameworks and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Understand and apply the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition (SAMR) framework to design lesson plans that purposefully integrate relevant content, pedagogy, and technology. The trainer will present an example of TPACK and SAMR in action within early childhood settings.
- Apply e-pedagogy principles to develop an interactive activity using educational technology tools/platforms, including Generative AI, anchored in a specific learning objective for young children. The trainer will demonstrate sample tools and guide participants in their creation process.
Certification
Participants who meet at least 75% of the required course attendance and attempt the assessment will be awarded the Certificate of Completion.
