Security Operations must establish Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure business continuity during an emergency or crisis. Staff supporting the Security Operations need to be familiar with the BCP to quickly respond to the undesired event and recover the operations/business back to normal.

The new Security Agencies Competency Evaluation (SACE) include a BCP component in the core competencies and the elective competencies. Hence, it is important for Security Agencies to understand how to establish and implement a BCP for its business.
