Course Overview

Under MOM regulations, all compulsory pre-employment and periodic audiometric screening need to be conducted by qualified professionals who have completed the Basic Industrial Audiometry Course.
 

This course is conducted by Temasek Polytechnic in collaboration with the Society of Audiology Professionals Singapore (SAPS) by highly trained Audiologists. The course will cover basic concepts on the science of hearing, audiometric equipment, pure-tone testing and industrial noise control. This course aims to provide participants with adequate practical skills required to perform audiometric testing on adults, as required under the WSH (Medical Examinations) regulation.

Entry Requirements

Participants must possess at least 3 O Level credits with a pass in English.

Certification
 

Participants will be awarded a Statement of Attainment upon meeting 75% of the required course attendance and passing the examination.

It is a requirement for all trainees to attain at least 75% training attendance and pass the assessment for EACH module to enjoy SSG’s subsidy. Trainees who do not meet the requirement will have to pay the full unsubsidised course fees.
