This course aims to equip the participants with knowledge and skills in:

 

  • Understanding of safety standards in robotics
  • Introduction to Robotic Systems in Cleaning
  • Identify the types of robotic systems and automated technologies used in cleaning
  • Perform cleaning using robotic technologies
  • Make recommendations for improvement of robotic technologies
  • Safe operation and maintenance of mobile robots, cobots and automation systems
  • Troubleshooting of common faults in mobile robots, cobots and automation systems
  • Overview of IoT platforms and networks
  • Connect IoT sensors/devices to capture real-time data
  • Store, clean and transform and visualize data with charts and widgets
  • Apply IoT dashboard for monitoring the status of equipment and process
  • Set trigger for alarm and notification

Day 1

 

  • Robots Safety Standards (ISO 10218, ISO12100)
  • Singapore’s WSH framework
  • Hazard identification, risk assessments and management
  • Case studies on past accidents involving robots
  • Case studies on deployment of robots in cleaning and waste management sectors
  • Common types of commercial robots
  • Understanding of robots’ specification
  • Evaluation and selection of robots
  • Introduction to Mobile Robots and Cobots
  • Setup, initialization and control of Mobile Robots and Cobots with Human Machine Interface(HMI) and teach pendants
  • Typical faults, warnings and alarms in robotics
  • Verification and troubleshooting of common faults in Mobile Robots and Cobots
  • Competency assessment: Graded Practical Assignments

 

Day 2

 

  • Overview of commonly used IoT platforms and networks
  • Connect IoT sensors/devices and remote control them with IoT connectivity
  • Program IoT devices Over-the-Air (OTA)
  • Send and receive IoT data with MQTT protocol
  • Connect Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) devices in the context of monitoring status of facilities and equipment
  • Visualize IoT data with dashboard via charts and widgets
  • Analyse data and derive insights from IoT dashboard to drive actions
  • Competency assessment: Graded Practical Assignment
