Future Pillar of the Year Award
The Diploma in Architectural Technology & Building Services (ABS) was the Grand Winner of the Autodesk ASEAN Future Pillar of The Year Award (Architecture, Engineering & Construction category) in Aug 2024.
This award honours institutions within ASEAN that are at the forefront of innovative technology and which excels in nurturing students in the field of digital construction.
WorldSkills Singapore 2025
Final year ABS students Aidan Marc Rayner and Crystal Sui Jin snatched individual Gold medals in the Digital Construction category of the WorldSkills Singapore (WSS) competition held in April 2025.
Their golden performance is testimony to the high level of skills competency that ABS students are trained to achieve.
The WSS represents the pinnacle of vocational excellence, where the best in SG compete to earn the right to represent Singapore at the WorldSkills ASEAN and WorldSkills international competitions.

Onward to University!
Seven students from our diploma’s first cohort (class of 2024) have secured places at the National University of Singapore (NUS), pursuing degrees in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Infrastructure & Project Management.
Their ABS diploma training, which gave them a strong foundation in sustainable and resilient design, green building technologies, energy efficiency, and the integration of smart technologies into architectural design – had helped them to make the cut.

WorldSkills Singapore
Students from the Diploma in Architectural Technology & Building Services (ABS) have done consistently well in the prestigious biennial WorldSkills (WSS) competition over the years, testifying to their high technical competence.
In 2023, Cheyenne Wong Xue En and Ahmad Adi won a Bronze award, and Medallion for Excellence respectively, while Tan Chia Wen and Chng Sheng Jie earned Medallions for Excellence in 2021. Their achievements came in the Digital Construction category, where contestants use software to design architectural installations.

International Building Design Competition
ABS students won a Silver and a Consolation award in the annual International Building Design Competition 2022, with their proposed building concepts for Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Rangsit University of Bangkok, respectively.
The competition required contestants to re-imagine their built environment using emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

Solar Decathlon China
Three ABS students won the Silver award in the High Quality Workforce Development Challenge, as part of the Solar Decathlon China 2022.
The students evaluated a given building’s electrical consumption using IESVE (a building simulation software), and compared the results with that generated by a team from China which had used a different software.
