Course Overview

This subject will help students learn the communication skills that are vital for their success at the work place. Students will also be taught appropriate skills to conduct themselves effectively in a working environment.

 

The subject aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge to:

  • Write appropriate emails, memos and letters for inter-office and intra-office communication.
  • Demonstrate appropriate business communication etiquette and conduct business meetings professional.
  • Prepare and write appropriate meeting documents such as agenda, notice of meeting and minutes of meeting for a simulated business setting.

 

 

Objectives

 

This subject aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to:

  • prepare and analyse spreadsheets

  • prepare professional business documents

  • prepare students with ability to integrate essential office automation applications to aid in business decision-making

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
