This subject aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge on the general principles and application of electronic security system. At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to give advice on the range, selection, application and limitations of electronic security devices. The students should also be able to prepare a plan incorporating an electronic security design.
Objectives
This subject will cover an assessment of various electronic security devices in terms of their operating principle, cost, effectiveness, advantages and limitations.
Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
