What You'll Learn

  1. Introduction to IoT Network Technologies
  2. IoT System Design Principles
  3. Designing an IoT System

Modes of Assessment

100% coursework

1. Case Study

The case study is used to assess the students’ ability to demonstrate their understanding of the network technologies for IoT. Students will be required to research network technologies suitable for an IoT system based on a given scenario. The students would be required to submit an individual report and present their findings.

2. Project

The project is used to assess the students’ application of the knowledge and skills acquired to propose an IoT system with appropriate network technology. Students will work in groups to submit a report and present their findings.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the modular unit, students will be awarded a Statement of Result which can count towards the attainment of the Diploma in Infocomm and Digital Media (ICT Systems, Services & Support).
