At the end of this course, you will be able to:

1. Explain what an oral presentation is

2. Explain the types of oral presentations in the workplace

3. Identify the uses of oral presentations in the workplace

4. Identify the purposes, settings and audiences for presentations

5. Organise a presentation in an appropriate structure

6. Outline an oral presentation using appropriate language and structure

Participants who complete the following suite of MLCs will be eligible to apply for exemption to part-time Diploma in Business Practice (Business Administration) upon successful admission into the programme offered by Temasek Polytechnic, subject to the approval of the polytechnic:

• Planning Power-Packed Oral Presentation

• Delivering Power-Packed Oral Presentation

• Making Meetings Meaningful

Upon successful admission, they will also be granted full exemption in the Oral Presentation & Meeting module.

Mode of Assessment

Tests / Quizzes – measure participants’ understanding of key concepts and application of concepts learnt for each topic

Group discussion/sharing – measure participants’ ability to reflect and apply learning and active participation in discussions.
