Course Overview

Does your job require a good basic knowledge of handling electrical works as well as workplace safety based on SS 638?

This 3-day course which covers the theory and practical skills will equip you with the knowledge and skills to undertake electrical installations and service in commercial buildings. You will also learn about the fundamental integration of Renewable Energy (Solar PV) and Battery Energy Storage.

Lecturer/Trainer Profile

Ms. Toh Lee Nah
Temasek Polytechnic

Ms Toh Lee Nah received a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and she also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. She has an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and postgraduate certificate in Teaching in Higher Education.

Ms Toh is an experienced lecturer in Diploma in Clean Energy (School of Engineering, Temasek Polytechnic). She has acquired considerable experience in Semiconductor Reliability and Failure Analysis, Electrical Testing and Electrical Systems. Her academic experience include semiconductor testing and failure analysis, electrical installation and services, electrical circuits and systems. Besides lecturing the full-time PET students on Circuit Analysis, Electrical Systems and Power Distribution, Electrical Facilities and Services, Fuel Cells and Battery Storage Systems etc. She also kept a record of teaching in the CET Specialist Diploma courses, CET short courses as well as customised short courses for IKEA, Semiconductor Industry, Changi Airport Group etc.

Mr Efren L. Balajadia
Temasek Polytechnic

Mr. Efren L. Balajadia holds a master’s in engineering. He is the Course Chairman of the Diploma in Clean Energy and the HEAD of Integrative Built Environment Centre at Temasek Polytechnic Singapore. He has more than 20 years of coaching experience as a trainer and facilitator in a full-time diploma and customized technical courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Balajadia is a Professional Electrical Engineer in the Philippines and ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) , CAAS SAR147 M5 certified, and WSQ certified in Solar Photovoltaic Design, Installation and PV Maintenance System. He was the Principal Investigators for several industrial collaboration projects with companies such as Panasonic System Solutions Asia Pacific and Heatcraft Refrigeration Asia Pte Ltd. Former member of Technical Working Group of WorldSkills Singapore in Mobile Robotics and Industrial Automation Control. A member of Assessment & Quality Assurance Committee (Solar) of The Institute of Engineers in Singapore (IES). Efren is the CET short course trainer in the Grid-Connect Solar Photovoltaic System with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in collaboration with NARADA Pte. Ltd. In charge of setting up the Battery Storage in TP and installed several Off-Grid PV Systems with Battery Storage in different countries for TP Overseas Community Projects.
