Course Overview

In this course, participants will be able to design automation solutions in the advanced automation sector with the widely adopted OMRON machine controllers. They will have first-hand experience in creating and testing automation and control solutions using the Sysmac Studio software. The scope includes PLC open library function blocks, software design and diagnostic & simulation tools available in Sysmac Studio. Deployment of Industry 4.0 communication protocols namely EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, IO Link etc. will also be demonstrated via a learning journey to the smart factory within Temasek Polytechnic Advanced Manufacturing Centre.

Participants should have relevant working experiences in manufacturing sector.
