This course is suitable for those new to carbon footprints and for anyone who needs to further their knowledge and understanding of the technical specifications of international standards such as ASTM and the International Organisation for Standardisation detailing the principles, requirements and guidelines for the quantification and communication of the carbon footprints based on Green House Gas emissions.

Introduction of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF).

Approach and consideration on quantification carbon footprint & management.
The digital tools for Product Carbon Footprint calculation and quantification.
The workflow for formulating, quantification and communication of carbon footprints.

Lecturer/Trainer Profile

Ms. Teh Soo Tyng

Soo Tyng embarked on sustainability management career for more than 12 years. Since her employment with Nets Printwork Sdn Bhd, she has developed many green initiatives which brought many awards such as Prime Minister Hibiscus Award (PMHA), ACCA Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Award (MaSRA), Asia Sustainability Reporting Award (ASRA) to the company. Ms. Teh Soo Tyng has experience in establishing carbon footprint for printed material since 2010. Besides, she established the Sustainability Department of Nets Printwork Sdn Bhd, managing certification such as ISO 14001, ISO 9001, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), SIRIM Eco Label and Carbon Footprint Label. She has additional expertise in eco-conception, life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint (CFP) analysis and sustainability reporting (SR). In 2016, she is recognised as National Industry Expert and Panel NOSS (National Occupational Standard Scheme) of Environment by Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. In 2018, she is coffered as Certified Sustainability Practitioner by Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners. She became a certified trainer cum assessor and WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) in 2020 and International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) auditor in 2023.

Recently she was invited to speak on ESG related topic at ESG Masterclass jointly organized by MRANTI and RAIF Impact Challenge Prize organized by 1337 Ventures on behalf of Securities Commission Malaysia and Bank Negara Malaysia in collaboration with World Bank Group.

She holds a B. Sc. (Honors) in Biotechnology from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from University of West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK.
