The Singapore Green Plan 2030 was launched in February 2021 to galvanize a whole-of-nation movement and advance Singapore's national agenda for sustainable development. One of the pillars is green economy that aims to develop and adopt emerging low-carbon technologies, including sustainable cloud solutions.
This enriching 2-days course is designed to provide an overview of sustainable cloud solutions and best practices to develop and adopt sustainability in the cloud. It includes (1) understanding the environment impacts of the cloud services used, (2) quantifying impacts through the entire workload lifecycle, and (3) applying design principles and best practices to reduce these impacts.
Supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Academy, this course focuses on adaptation of modern cloud services, efficient data storage techniques and efficient compute infrastructure for developing sustainable cloud solutions. This course also analyses the carbon metrics and other indicators to monitor the impacts of the cloud solutions.

Participants who meet at least 75% of the required course attendance and pass the assessment will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
Dr Linda William
Dr Linda is currently a Senior Scientist at School of Informatics & IT, Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore where she has been teaching and conducting research since 2019. She teaches both young adult and adult learners. She also leads several research projects, including a two-year research project in Smart Serious Game Analytics Engine to develop a smart, serious game analytics engine to understand and enhance a learner’s skills and performance.
She completed her Ph.D. at Singapore Management University. She has more than 10 years of vast experience in conducting lessons of IT/IS courses, more than 15 years of experience in AI and ML research and more than 20 years of practical experience in full lifecycle of IT Project Development (including AI and ML projects). She has also published a book and articles in international conferences and journals.

Ms Rosita Jupri
Rosita Jupri is currently a Senior lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic School of Diploma in Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics. She has 15++ years of industrial experience in many domain areas such as Industrial Systems, Automated Driverless Systems in Rail and Autonomous Vehicle where her primary role was to conduct Cybersecurity Assessment and Cybersecurity Testing against evolving regulatory/standardisation frameworks such as ISO/IEC 62443, ISO 21434 and ETSI 303-645. She also had conducted training workshops for SIMTECH on Cybersecurity for Industrial System. She has sat in various standardization committee where recently contributed to the write up of Technical Reference TR 68-3 Cybersecurity for Road Vehicles in Singapore.
Apart from teaching students full time and part time diploma students. She also conducts workshops/short courses for working professionals for EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacking v12. and HTX

Dr Chern Nam Yap
Dr Yap Chern Nam is the faculty member of Temasek Polytechnic Informatics and IT School since 2002. Previously, he worked for several multinational companies in Germany, United Kingdom and United States. He received his BSc (Hons) in 1998 from Uni of London and both his MSc (Res) and PhD in 1999 and 2008 respectively. Currently he served as an ExCo member in IEEE Computer Society.
He contributes his expertise in co-organizing various technical events. He also actively does publications on ITU-T, IEEE, IETF.
