What kind of involvement do students have in TP Animal Clinic & Wellness?

As a learning enterprise designed for student training, this facility provides our students the opportunity to observe, learn and be more prepared to work in the industry. However, our licensed vet and vet technicians are always around to oversee them. As a teaching clinic, we strive for best practice to expose our students to the gold standards of the industry.

What is canine rehabilitation?

What is canine rehabilitation?

Canine rehabilitation adapts human physical therapy techniques to increase function and mobility of joints and muscles. These techniques can reduce pain and enhance recovery from injury, surgery, degenerative diseases, age-related diseases and obesity.

An overall assessment will be carried out by a certified canine rehabilitation therapist and this may include getting your pet to walk, trot and run down the corridors. Videos may be taken to assess their gait in order to pinpoint any potential issue. A thorough hands-on examination may be done, depending on how cooperative and comfortable your pet is. Treatment will be initiated and the type(s) of modality used will be dependent on what your pet requires most at the point of time.
