Course Overview

This is a bundle of 2 MLCs to be completed together:


1. Energy vs Time Management

This course is designed to highlight the differences between energy and time management, so that those pursuing the Holy Grail of 'making more time' for the endless tasks, will be able to channel their efforts to the true discipline of leadership and being able to handle and manage everything that is needed to get the job done well.


2. Understanding Millennials

In this course, we will gain a deeper understanding what the term 'millennials' really means; and that we cannot stereotype them. What exactly drives them; why do they behave the way they do?


Seeing that they make up the new generation of workers that is driving the world, and will make best use of the resources left on this planet in the years to come, we need to not just understand them, but know how to work well with them. It should not be 'us' and 'them', but rather a mindset of 'we'.


We will look at how best we can work well together, leveraging on each other's strengths to face the challenges of the rapidly-evolving world.

1. Energy vs Time Management


At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  2. Describe and explain the concept of 'FLOW'
  3. Describe the 4 ways that can help us manage our physical energy better
  4. Define 'Emotional Energy' and describe the 3 main approaches to manage it
  5. Identify what Energy-Energizers are
  6. Explain 'Amygdala Hijack' and describe the 4 steps in G.R.O.W
  7. Define 'Mental Energy' and describe the 3 main approaches to manage it
  8. Define 'Social Energy' and differentiate between affinity and respect
  9. Define 'Spiritual Energy' and describe the 3 ways to manage it


2. Understanding Millennials


At the end of the programme, you will be able to:


  1. Describe the challenges that millennials face in the workplace
  2. List 3 ways how millennials are a 'reflection' of other people
  3. Describe how we can connect with millennials
  4. Distinguish between problem-identification questions and solution-based questions
  5. Identify the Ten Tips for Millennials joining the workforce
  6. Identify the Ten Tips in Managing Millennials


Mode of Assessment

Reflections, applications, sharing in social media and experiential activities, quizzes





Participants will receive an electronic Certificate of Completion issued by Temasek Polytechnic upon completion of each MLC.
