Course Overview

This course will equip participants with the basic knowledge and understanding of the world of management, including the nature of management and the issues related to today’s business environment. Participants will have an appreciation on the importance of effective management.

Participants who are interested to deepen their knowledge about "Management" and its importance to organizations and build a good foundation for further studies in Business Diploma courses

9. Explain the importance of decision-making in management

10. Explain the difference between programmed and non-programmed decisions

11. Describe the steps in the managerial decision-making process

Thomas Lee

Thomas Lee is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business at Temasek Polytechnic. Before joining the Polytechnic, Thomas had started a few businesses, mainly in the education industry. He is also the co-author of the book “Managing Small & Medium Enterprises”. He is actively involved in teaching subjects such as Principles of Management, Organisational Behaviour, International Business, Managing Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship related subjects.
