Course Overview

Advanced manufacturing systems are increasing sophisticated and complex. It uses innovative technologies to improve products, processes and services. Recent advances in artificial intelligence and information technologies such as industrial internet of things, big data, edge & cloud computing, have resulted in a significant paradigm shift in manufacturing transforming. With the advancement of such technologies, Industry 3.0 systems are being transformed to an industry 4.0 system, known as cyber physical systems.

Hence the course objectives would be to kick start and walk the participant through the steps to transform an i3.0 system system to i4.0 system on the aspect of sensing and digitalisation, covering data acquisition and transmission.
