Course Overview

This subject covers the key management functions of planning, organising, leading and controlling.  It addresses the impact of environmental factors that affect business and the relevance of corporate social responsibility in an organisation. It emphasises the roles, responsibilities and challenges faced by supervisors/managers in an organisation.

 

 

Objectives

 

The subject aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to:

  • Write a mission statement for an organisation.
  • Apply the key functions of management.
  • Examine the environmental factors that affect the functions of management.
  • Apply the decision-making process.

Entry Requirements

Applicants applying for modular units which are drawn from existing full diploma or post-diploma programmes will have the same minimum entry requirements as the full qualifications.
