Ikano Pte Ltd provides students with real life retail case studies
An MOU was signed to support Ikano's intent of offering good customer experience in their stores. This collaboration offers students with opportunities to apply their knowledge through internships and special projects with Ikano.
As part of the partnership, Ikano engaged the cohort of year 2 Students from School of Engineering’s Diploma in Business Process and Systems Engineering by providing problem statements for students to work on as part of their subject project. Upon completion, feasible ideas were presented for Ikano’s consideration and implementation. Moving forward, TP will continue to support Ikano through internships and projects.
Joint cyber security training programme with Kaspersky
TP and Kaspersky signed a Training Collaboration Agreement in August 2019 to introduce CET courses in the area of cybersecurity to build skills and knowledge for the industry. This move is part of both parties interest to ensure the industry is well supported with skilled professionals in the areas of cyber security. In February 2020, TP and Kaspersky jointly conducted the inaugural course on Malware Reverse Engineering and Analysis that trained participants in analysing and reverse engineer software, avoid common software bugs and build their skills to dissect, analyse executables and scripts.
Space planning project for SATSPPG’s Blossom Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 4
As part of their ongoing rejuvenation efforts, SATSPPG worked with students from the School of Design’s Diploma in Interior Architecture and Design to come up with innovative ways to update the premium lounge located at Changi Airport’s Terminal 4. The students completed the ideation and mock-ups in 8 weeks as part of their course work and presented their ideas to SATSPPG. This gave our partners the opportunity to view a number of proposal ideas put forth by the students. In addition, the project was also selected and exhibited at the SkillsFuture Festival 2019 held at Ngee Ann City.
Partnership with NTUC Foodfare to explore food choices and tray return behaviours
TP’s Centre for Applied Behavioral & Social Sciences have been supporting various industries such as NTUC Foodfare to conduct exploratory studies to understand behaviors of their customers in relation to their food choices and current tray return behaviors. Findings from this study will help Foodfare better design approaches that will encourage healthier food selection and increase voluntary tray returns. Students from the School of Humanities & Social Sciences’ Diploma in Psychology supported in this study.
Coface provided sponsorship of goodie bags supporting TP's community event
As part of the mid autumn festivities, TP collaborated with Our Tampines Hub (OTH) to organise the Magical Autumn XI for tampines residents. Students from 10 CCA groups set up 10 mid-autumn festival game booths to enhance the festive atmosphere for the Tampines residents. As part of their CSR efforts, Coface supported the event with the sponsorship and distribution of goodie bags to 40 seniors from the Lion Befrienders present at the event.
Customised training programme for service staff for Wildlife Reserves Singapore
TP has been actively supporting our partners in the customisation of courses to best suit and accommodate the varying business needs.
As part of WRS’ initiative to upskill all service staff, TP supported the organisation to run a series of 'Speaking Well, Speaking Right' courses. The course was customised in blocks to fit into the schedule of the participants, who were on rostered schedule. The participants were exposed to skills such as effective answering techniques that enables them to better serve visitors of the Park.
